Change is Here
For more than 80 years, public safety agencies primarily relied on land mobile radio services. However, this is quickly changing. Public safety and government operations are quickly incorporating high speed wireless broadband data services into their every operations.
Today, public safety has access to 20 MHz of spectrum and up to $7 billion to build a nationwide public safety broadband network. To do this, the U.S. Congress set very specific guidelines on how the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN) is going to be built out and managed.
To take advantage of the NPSBN, public safety agencies, local governments, Tribes, States and the Federal government need to work together like never before to build out the interoperable wireless broadband network.
The U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration is charged with establishing the independent First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) to build and manage the nationwide broadband network.
CTECH Advisors was established to help private and public entities navigate through the rough waters that are still ahead and help you work with FirstNet to build the nationwide broadband network.
